Hunting Season 2011

Today is the day to say GOODBYE to your husband until January if he is a hunter! Bye to spending time together on Saturdays, Bye to staying out or up late on Friday nights because they gotta get up early and if you really got it bad Bye to seeing him even during the week in the afternoons! Dove opening day starts it ALL we go from this to Deer Season and from that to Duck Season and anything else that has feathers or fur.
Really Mark is not  that bad though he does not hunt nearly as much as he has in  years past. Today Ella Blaire is going dove hunting with him. She was sooo excited her and Mark train his new dog Nellie (named after the gun brand Benellie) almost every afternoon. Today is Nellie's big first day! Hope she does good.
Well to all you hunting wives be patient with them they are still little boys at heart but make sure you get the same  amount of money they spent on guns, bows, hunting club memberships and whatever else to go shopping with every Saturday this fall!LOL!!

Happy Birthday Grandaddy

Happy Birthday Grandaddy this is your first birthday in Heaven. Right after you passed away in December it was Christmas very soon after and I remember thinking your first Christmas in Heaven is probably so much more beautiful than what we see down here. That's what I am thinking today on your birthday also. You are probably celebrating with your old dear friends you could not wait to see. I do not just hope you are having a wonderful birthday because I know you are and I take comfort in that as you would want me to. I still miss you though. You have a Happy Birthday Grandaddy and go sit up on that green hill looking over the River of Life you talked so much about. I Love You.

The Birmingham Zoo

 We took a quick day trip to the zoo today it was good to spend time with the girls but it was HOT!!!!! Here are a few pics from our day.

July 4th!!!!

We had a good relaxing 4th just hung out at home and stuffed ourselves!! Mark smoked some chicken and we had homemade ice cream and banana pudding. We were going to start a diet today but I can't until the banana pudding is gone no point in trying.We got a few fireworks for the kids. Nothing big but simplicity was good for a change.
I am totally wrapped up in the Casey Anthony trial my TV has stayed on Headline News almost nonstop cant wait to hear the verdict!!

Happy 95th Birthday Maw Maw

This Saturday I had the privilege of hosting a surprise 95th Birthday party for Mark's grandmother Sis. Ethel Treece. She was surprised and cried and cried. I was honored to be able to do that for her and I enjoyed getting to be with the older sisters very much. Maw Maw has had a wonderful life she has had hard times but the Lord has always seen her through. She has had the Holy Ghost for 77 years! (WOW!!)

TIRED!!!!! But Happy!!!!

Well Huntsville Revival 2011 has now came to an end. It was really GREAT! We had 4 people counting the one we had the Wed. night before revival recieve the Holyghost. I really enjoyed this years revival Bro.Edwin and Bro.Jimmy did a wonderful job!! Of course we are wore out!! But it was fun and worth every dish I cooked and washed! I am also gald Lacey got to come and I got to meet her in person. So shout out to you Lacey LOL!! We will try to pay back the visits I hope we get to visit Trenton soon. So now I am off to bed considering it is 1:43 am why am I still up?!?! I hope to sleep late tomorrow so if you are reading this which I highly doubt anyone is up this late reading my blog but if you are DON'T call my house before 10 unless it is a real emergency!!LOL!!

Ella Blaire and Fat Boy The Wonder Dog

It did get warm for a couple of days. We got outside and Ella Blaire played in the sprinkler and dressed up the dog. That would be our eldest dog "Fat Boy" we love him Ella Blaire lays on him sits on him and gross yes I know kisses him and he just lets her. Last year she colored him with sidewalk chalk.

I hope these warm rain free days return soon!
