My Big Sis is Home

Well my Big Sis is home and after we saw each other and evaluated how much weight each of us had lost or mostly gained (usually the scales will come out before she leaves) we had our family Christmas. I would of thought I would be OK since we already came through the actual Christmas day events but it was really sad us all being together without Grandaddy. But we did laugh and have fun and you can't help but think if he is looking down I hope he sees us laughing and happy and knows we are doing good.

As you can see in the pictures Woody and Buzz were there. LOL! Ella Blaire and Dylan are at such a fun age and I am so glad they have each other!! It's really amazing when you think about it after the Triplets and Delaney 8 years later for me and 11 years for Lawanda we had babies 2 months apart!

Well that's about it enjoy the long weekend!!!!

!!!!! ANOTHER SNOW DAY!!!!!

I mean Really can you believe it I told Delaney she better enjoy the snow on Christmas since we really had not had a good snow since she was born (she is 10) and here we are doing all again this soon!! Lovin It!!!!

We tried to pull the sled with the 4-wheeler but it was not as fun as we wanted so what to do.... The Red-Neck fix of course we go to the barn find some scrap metal bend it in just the right spot tie a rope on and it worked great! In the pasture and even on the road we had a blast.

That afternoon I really wanted to do a snowman for Ella Blaire because that was what she was talking about as soon as the snow started to fall. So Mindy and Steadman straight back from a Hawaiian honeymoon came over and we had smoked bologna, snow cream and built snowmen.

Hope everyone had as good of a day as we did!

A Wonderful WHITE Christmas!!!!!!

Delaney got her phone and Ella Blaire got her Minnie Mouse bike and what an AWESOME bonus SNOW!!!!!!!

It's a little sad without Grandaddy but when we were outside Mark said it was like Grandaddy just ask the lord to let us have snow so we could have a good Christmas. I had already thought the same thing. Then in the kitchen Grandmother said it was you could feel him all around.

O Christmas Trees O Christmas Trees

I love Christmas I always put up several trees this year I thought about only doing one small one but then I thought about Ella Blaire and this being her first Christmas to really be exCited about everything. So I pushed on and put up 4. Life goes on no matter how much you have going on!! I put up my big one in my great room, the one with the nativity is in the formal living room, the red and lime green one is in the kitchen and the white one is in Delaney's room, it was really fun decorating!

Not doing much but busy all the time?!?!?

How is it that you can stay busy constantly but you haven't really went anywhere or done anything? That is my life. I do not have anything really exciting to blog I have not really went anywhere I mean Publix is an exciting night out for us now a days and if we can squeeze El Mariachi (the little Mexican restaurant like 5 min. from our house) in we have really done something. I do not want to complain though we have SOOO much to be thankful for. When I started this blog I only wanted to post about the blessings of care giving and say all good things but a few days back I was having a pretty rough time and I thought you know it does get hard sometimes, I do get frustrated and I don't understand everything or handle everything the way I should and that is OK!!! I know the Lord has a plan and a reason for the way things are. He has control over all things. I just want to make sure Mark and I come through this with the knowledge of what we may have needed to change about ourselves. Were we to self centered maybe to set in our ways or did we value material things before this too much? None of that matters when you have a loved one sick and I don't want that to fade I want to remember what is really important!!

Another thing I have been meaning to say for a while is Hospice is so GREAT! It is something you never want to have to have in your home but when you do need them they are such a blessing. We have a nurse who comes and we have a bath-aid who comes 5 days a week. When someone comes in your home 5 days a week you grow close to them. I hope the Lord blesses their lives for the compassion and care they have shown our family. If you are ever looking for a place to volunteer it would be a good one I think Sis.Heather Riggins has it is something I plan on doing in the future.

I also have an AWESOME group of friends getting me through this I seriously don't know how I could do this without them. Sometimes I feel like they call me and just get to hear me vent! But I think they know I need that sometimes. Something else I have learned during this is it doesn't matter if you say just the right thing it is just letting people know you care! I am not good with words at all and have put off going to see people in the past for fear of feeling awkward or not knowing what to say, it really doesn't matter just knowing people care is what means the world.

OK this may be kind of an odd post but it was just some things that have been on my mind lately.

Then we went to a Birthday/Halloween party. Delaney loves I Love Lucy to the point that she has the DVD boxed sets. So her costume was perfect for her and I thought it was hilarious!!

Finally we are confusing Ella Blaire well Mark is he should just let her be smart like her mom and go for Auburn!! That's right Dustin not everybody is as smart as me!!!
