Golden Apple Awards

Last Year Delaney's school participated with the Huntsville Times in writing a letter to nominate a teacher for a Golden Apple Award. Huntsville City, Madison City and Madison County school systems all participated elementary through high school. Ten letters were chosen and 10 well deserving teachers were recognized and awarded with the Golden Apple Award for doing all the MANY things a good teacher does.

Delaney nominated one of her teachers from Walnut Grove  Mrs.Wright. I can only skim the surface in telling you what a special teacher and person Mrs.Wright is because she is so wonderful this blog could turn into a novel. We knew Mrs.Wright was a special person in our lives way before these awards came about Delaney just put it on paper for other people to see. Mrs.Wright is a Godly woman and it shows in her daily walk through life. She is also a WONDERFUL teacher she has been there for Delaney while Delaney was in her class and after both through educational trials and personal trials. She is truly a beautiful person inside and out and we are forever grateful she was brought into our lives!!

The dinner was very nice Mrs.Heard (Walnut Grove's Vice Principal) and Dr.Terry Davis (Madison County's Superintendent) also shared a table with us. It is nice to have school officials that take time out of there awfully busy schedules to share things like this with their students and teachers.

So we are proud of Delaney and forever grateful and thankful for Mrs.Wright!
